Saint Oran’s Celtic Cross Historic Celtic Cross from Iona
This is a scale artists reconstruction by Stuart Fellowes depicting the 8th century St. Oran’s Celtic Cross and shows how this stone cross may have looked when originally carved. The cross is richly carved with serpents and bosses taking most of the space. At the top of the shaft are figures of the Virgin and Child between two angels Today the cross is on display at Iona Abbey
