Skinnet Pictish Cross Historic Pictish Cross from Caithness
This is a scale artists reconstruction by Stuart Fellowes depicting the cross element of the 8th century Skinnet Pictish Cross slab, and shows how this stone cross may have looked when originally carved. The cross is outlined with a roll moulding which forms loops at every corner. There is interlace and spiral work within the cross. Today the cross is on display at Thurso Museum
This piece is a resin cast reproduction of Stuarts’ original hand-carved sculpture
