Scots Wha Hae lyrics Plaque Contemporary design by Stuart Fellowes
This is a contemporary sculpture representing a carved stone panel. This piece depicts the lyrics of poet, Robert Burn’s 1793 song. The story tells that this was King Robert the Bruce’s speech to his army before the battle of Bannockburn. Scots Wha Hae was once considered the unofficial national anthem of Scotland. Although the lyrics are by Burns, he wrote them to the old Scottish tune "Hey Tuttie Tatie", which according to tradition, was played by Bruce's army at the Battle of Bannockburn.
This piece is a resin cast reproduction of Stuarts’ original hand-carved sculpture
