“Peace of Iona” Celtic Cross
Historic Celtic cross from Iona

This is a scale artists reconstruction by Stuart Fellowes depicting the cross element from an 8th century cross slab from Iona. It shows how the cross may have looked when it was originally created. Carved in sandstone, this simple Celtic Cross is in filled with knotwork interlace.
Today the cross is on display at Iona Abbey

This piece is a resin cast  reproduction of Stuarts’ original hand-carved sculpture
