MacMillan’s Celtic Cross Historic Celtic cross from Argyll
This is a scale artists reconstruction by Stuart Fellowes depicting the 15th century MacMillan’s Celtic Cross and shows how this stone cross may have looked when originally carved. Dedicated to Macmillan Clan Chieftain, Alexander “Of the cross” Macmillan who served as keeper of Castle Sween. The cross depicts a crucifixion scene flanked by a Claymore sword and Celtic interlace designs. Today the cross stands at Kilmory Knap chapel.
