Lion Rampant symbol stone Contemporary design by Stuart Fellowes
This is a contemporary sculpture based on early Celtic & Pictish rock-art carvings and depicts a Lion Rampant flag presented as a shield. The Lion Rampant symbolises Scottish Royalty strictly speaking belongs solely to the Monarch - though it is often displayed privately as a token of loyalty to the crown. It is used in an official capacity at Royal residences in Scotland when the Monarch is not in residence
This piece is a resin cast reproduction of Stuarts’ original hand-carved sculpture
