Dupplin Pictish Cross
Historic Pictish Cross from Perthshire

This is a scale artists reconstruction by Stuart Fellowes depicting the 9th Century Dupplin Pictish high cross. A large, richly carved red sandstone block that today can be found located near its original position at St. Serf’s church in the village of Dunning. The Christian cross is decorated with images of Pictish foot soldiers and a warrior on horseback. The base panel shows a hound hunting scene. The head of the cross is inlayed with scroll and key patterns.
