Declaration of Arbroath Contemporary design by Stuart Fellowes
This highly detailed piece depicts a representation of the Declaration Of Arbroath. The most well known section of this letter that is now often recited, forms the centrepiece of this sculpture and is quoted in the form of a shield. The shield and declaration on this sculpture sit upon a background representing the red sandstone of Arbroath Abbey, where the declaration was originally written by Bernard de Linton, Abbot of Arbroath.
This piece is a resin cast reproduction of Stuarts’ original hand-carved sculpture
