This is an artists reconstruction of a 15th Century claymore symbol stone. It shows how the stone may have looked when it was originally carved.This slab features a foliated cross of a style associated with the island of Iona. Flanked by plant scrolls is a two handed sword of the type known as a claymore. This is the earliest known depiction of a Scottish Claymore
Today the slab is found at An Clach Beag, Kirkapol, Tiree
