Scotland’s History and heritage in miniature
Celtic & Pictish Crosses & carved stones
Historic Architecture models
This contemporary design & sculpture by Stuart Fellowes, was inspired by Celtic and Pictish carved rock art. It depicts an accurate topographical model of Scotland
It represents the mainland and the largest of the 790 islands that constitute the land area of 30,414 square miles. The territorial extent of Scotland is generally that established by the 1237 Treaty of York between Scotland and the Kingdom of England and the 1266 Treaty of Perth between Scotland and Norway. The Ordnance survey calculated the geographical centre of Scotland to be on the side of a hill called Srón na h-Eiteich near Loch Garry.
This piece comes ready with a hanging hole on the rear to enable it to be hung flush to the wall from a pin-nail.
Hand painted. Resin cast reproduction of Stuart Fellowes’ original sculpture.
